Mold temperature setting for injection molding

 

 (1) The mold temperature affects the molding cycle and molding quality. In actual operation, the minimum appropriate mold temperature of the material used is set, and then appropriately adjusted according to the quality status.

 

 

(2) Correctly speaking, the mold temperature is the temperature of the surface of the mold cavity while molding is going on . In the mold design and the setting of moldingconditions, it is important not only to maintain an appropriate temperature, but also to make it uniform Distribution.

 

 

(3) Non-uniform mold temperature distribution will lead to non-uniform shrinkage and internal stress, which will make the molding mouth to be deformed and warpage

 

(4) The following effects can be obtained by increasing the mold temperature;

 

1. Accelerate the crystallinity and more uniform structure of the molded product.

 

2. Make the molding shrinkage more sufficient and reduce the post-shrinkage, that is to say, the product shrinks in the later stage of production.

 

3. Improve the strength and heat resistance of the produced products and prevent the products from cracking and brittle.

 

4. Reduce internal stress residue, molecular alignment and deformation.

 

5. The temperature of the mold is too high will lead to the cooling time is too short, which will make the injected products to be deformed due to overheat during ejecting .

 

6. Reduce the vibration marks or wave marks of PP material we always found .

 

7. Increasing the mold temperature can make the injected products surface gloss and reduce the chromatic instability.

 

8. Reduce the flow resistance during filling and reduce the pressure loss.

 

9. Make the molded product more glossy and good.

 

10. Increase the chance that molded products get sharp.

 

11. Increase the chance of depression near the gate and reduce the depression of the far gate.

 

12. Reduce the obvious degree of parting line.

 

13. Increase the cooling time to enhance the product texture structure.
